We don’t know the state of the relationship of both of these people with their parents and maybe they couldn’t be there or maybe it’s just not so great so it was just the two of them and their son. I am in my 2nd marriage. I love short men who play guitar. Anyway, so my first wedding my Uncle Jim who’s like 78 and looks 48 and an ex helicopter Pilot in Vietnam did the professional photography. He essentially went through the wedding taking high quality photos and told me through photos who was supportive, who was looking at my butt in judgment. Who was smiling. I found out who loved me and who didnt. He literally “shot” everyone in the room with his camera. So my husband who this is also his second marriage we wanted a court wedding maybe a get together to see family in the future.

My sister tried to do this to our Mom years ago. She was in the military and they were eloping in Las Vegas. She was going to wear a navy polka dot dress. Bc they were in the Navy. It was the first of her 3:daughters. Mom was on a plane so quick. Bought a tea length wedding dress etc. Not sure why her twin didn't go. When my wedding plans were chaotic I told my husband we should elope in Vegas. Funny bc I grew up in the once known as Honeymoon destination. 😂

I mean it's their wedding so they can do as they please. Maybe they don't have a close relationship with their parents or the rest of their families. So, instead of having the chance of unnecessary drama at their wedding from having to invite family they aren't close with or ppl that can't get along with each other they decided to keep it simple and have the ppl that mean the most to them, each other and their child.
