USING AN EXPLOIT TO ONE SHOT ANYTHING - Jumbo in War Thunder vs The World

The Jumbo in War Thunder is a US Heavy Tank that has been moved so high up in battle rating it's basically unusable for newer players. Today, I decided to try a little exploit using HE High Explosive Shells to knock out ANY tank in the game with a simple trick.

Step 1: Shoot the enemy barrel out.
Step 2: HE shell the barrel where it meets the mantlet.

That's it. And... IT WORKS!

It's pretty weird that this happens but it's also VERY useful for when you come up against vehicles you cannot penetrate at all.

It's generally a breath of fresh air seeing that guys become friends one match. Too many try hards in this game anymore. No fun allowed!!

This works because of how overpressure works
It works by seeing of shrapnel from an HE round hits and damages an internal module, if you look at the kill cam, whenever Odd hits the mantlet, the breech turns yellow which is counted as an internal module.
Overpressure is a great mechanic that is totally better than Hull-break

This explains what happened in my last game. I got into a brawl with the king tiger, and in a split second, my heatfs shell killed the entire crew with a shot right on the barrel. But the replay showed an overpressure mechanic 😮

It works because the game treats broken module as empty and thus there is a massive hole in a mantlet where overpressure goes through and kills the crew, doesn't it?

Gaijin never ceases to amaze us with how crap their ballistics systems are. Just love how their response to hullbreak being broken was to basically give every vehicle in the game a worse version of hullbreak

THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING that's been happening to me for about a month now. Nothing but barrel shots at me and I was trying to figure out why.

this also work for aphe especially from 90mm and above since there are more filler than them. you can actually kill the maus with the m82 shell by shooting the barrel near the turret (one shot using any thing at bigger caliber like the soviet 122mm). I suspect that the shell penetrate the barrel and the HE filler explode inside the barrel nuking the crew.

there is also a glitch with heat shells that allows you to perform this with one shot instead of two, I don’t know how how to replicate it though as it has only happened for me once.

Just to note, this doesn’t just work with the 75 jumbo, it works with any tank capable of firing that specific HE shell, including other Shermans and even the Churchill VII and Churchill Crocodile.

This explains how I died in my Ferdinand in my last match. A bunch of tanks with no hope of killing me, then boom out of nowhere from a frontal hit.
