Many people and couples agonize over the decision as to who to name as their executor. People often ask, "What's better - naming one executor or more than one?"
There is no one right or wrong here. People who select one executor typically are confident that the individual is responsible, gets things done, has good relationships with all of the heirs, and perhaps may be geographically near the testator.

People who choose multiple co-executors often feel like they don't want to offend the heirs (particularly when the heirs are all of children), so they will name both children (or all of the children) as co-executors.
Note that the similar concepts apply when you are selecting the successor trustee(s) of your revocable living trust. You can name one trustee or multiple co-trustees.
