Ultrasonic test explained effectively and in very simple words. Both Theory, as well as Practical, will be covered in this video series. It is the first of this video lecture series and it contains the introduction and the basic concepts of the ultrasonic test (UT) such as the working principle of the ultrasonic test, Role of piezoelectric crystal which is provided in the probe or search units. type of probes i.e the normal probe, TR probe and the angle probes, generation and the types of ultrasonic waves, and the modes of propagation of ultrasonic tests viz. Longitudinal or compression waves, transverse or shear wave and plate waves, etc. the significance of probe frequency and the sensitivity of the ultrasonic test (UT). This video lecture series is very useful to all professionals working in fabrication/construction/manufacturing/ automobiles/cement/oil/gas and refineries and especially those who are preparing for UT level II or Level III exams.

Your explanation makes the basic knowledge of ultrasonic seems easy. I had been studying and watching videos on ultrasonic and still can't understand the concept of UT. I did 40 hours of training that cost me over $1000 which was a waste of funds. I must confess I learned a lot from this video. I am taking NDT course at a technology college, I will tell you truth in Canada education is business most instructors are not qualified in their course or they follow what curriculum says so no effort to teach students proper way (like wearing a horse glasses looking in one straight direction instead of seeing things in big frame). I very appreciate your educational videos, you covered my 3 module which it took 6 hours to completed in class; however, most part was useless conversation from instructor as he knew that he needs to extend the time to finish the modules for 6 hours. You did in 33min. I love education in my back home, teachers care their students. Once again thank you.
