Hi guys!
In this week's video I am making cute little illustrated #trinketboxes using #airdryclay. I love making these types of #DIY projects and sharing the process with you guys. They are by no means perfect but i think they turned out pretty cute. Also as a disclaimer all the materials used in this video are not food safe and you should not store food in items made from air dry clay.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this video.

You need to put score lines on parts you want to stick together, clay doesn’t want to stick to smooth surfaces. It also helps to make a slightly watered down clay mix to fill gaps and basically use as “glue” to join things. It’s quite easy if you know how but brain-meltingly agonising if you don’t. Amazing problem solving tho! And they turned out incredible!!!

I appreciate you showed your attempts that did not go as planned, and I love you choice of color combination!!

I'm really glad you showed all your process but also your struggle. I love seeing people working around problems and it makes me feel less alone in my frustration haha! This is so cute and original, I will try to do one for myself but maybe with a bunny as a knob, thank you for the inspiration!

I really like how you showed all the failed attempts instead of editing those parts out and trying to make it look like it turns out perfect at one go.
As a crafter I face such issues too and get disheartened at times...but looking at this made me realise it's alright and very normal to face them :) and even to learn from those mistakes!
The outcome looks super cute! :)

For the your original plan on making the body of the trinket box, when I took ceramics my ceramics professor said to cut the smaller sides of the rectangle in a 45 degree angle so the sides kinda overlap each other when you bring them together. This way it would attach better. I'm not sure I made any sense. XD

I really appreciate that you showed all your fails and then how you finally got what you wanted. VERY HELPFUL! And I adore the leaf design.

Maybe you could use a "lazy susan" as your spinny table? Ikea, Walmart or any kitchen supply store would have them. 💖

I like it. They don’t have to perfect because they are hand made.

I love the inside color choice. That element made it ‘pop’ and really brought everything together.

I have these supplies at home and am excited to do this. Loving the beautiful jewel tones that you use. Even if I didn't know who's video this was I would know immediately after seeing the colors used. Such a beautiful style. I would love to see more clay projects thank you for sharing your creativity!!

You know what I love about you my dear, besides your fabulous art, your honesty. To see that you had to put plan B into action, shows me that it doesn't always work perfectly the first time. Thank you my dear. I just love your art. Sherie Rodrigues from Australia

This is insanely pretty! 🖤 It reminded me of Fanngora’s work, a local illustrator (I’m from Monterrey, Mexico) she also makes cute stuff with pretty patterns and colors, she also works with clay, one of my birthday gifts this year was a clay puppet inspired in my cat. Watching your video made me smile like when that gift was given to me on that day, beautiful work 🖤

I loved the entire video and can't take my eyes off the amazing cute handpainted illustrations on those cute trinkets. I love the way you have documented all your failed attempts and "I nailed it" moments of the whole process. Amazing work !!

I’ve seen others comment this already, but to get pieces of clay to stick together, it’s easier to score the area you want the piece to go onto (and the piece itself) with something sharp, and then add slip to it. “Slip” is just a mixture of water and used crushed up clay. It acts as glue.
