A terrific "one hit" wonder from 1969. "Love (Can Make You Happy)" was written by Jack Sigler, Jr. and performed by Mercy. It reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, where "Get Back" by The Beatles kept it from the #1 spot.

Memories of my first love when I was 17. Use to hang out with Brenda who was the lead soprano for the group. Met her in Norfolk and she was married with a young daughter. She was a delight to hang with. Lost touch after we both moved. This was back in 1972. This clip doesn't do her justice...she was a beautiful girl.
