What are ordered pairs?
Показать описание
Ordered pairs are just pairs of numbers in which the order matters. But I’ll show you some examples of when and how we use them.
We use ordered pairs to represent relationships between quantities, for example the number of people attending an event and the total cost of the tickets. You're probably familiar with coordinates, which are ordered pairs showing the vertical and horizontal distances from the origin of a graph. And each line in an input-output table can be represented by an ordered pair.
Ordered pairs are written in parentheses, with a comma between numbers. For example, (2.5) is an ordered pair.
