i spent an hour in the makeup aisle at target yesterday trying to decide which drugstore bb cream to throw down on since my iope air cushion is getting really expensive. eventually i decided i had to walk away empty-handed because my partner was getting bored af and i hadn't done my research (lol). this is a fantastic in-depth review--exactly what i was looking for. it's especially helpful that you address coverage over redness, since a lot of youtubers don't necessarily get it (especially cracking foundation over zits !!). gotta say, too, that originally, oxidation was a concern for me regarding all those bb creams (i just remember the drugstore foundations of the 2000s--dream mousse being especially bad) but your contouring really minimized the appearance of that effect SO i'm gonna need to dig into your videos to check out your contour routine because you look gooood ;^) thanks for a super helpful video <3

I still really like to wear foundation, but I’m only 42 but I do have the Maybelline BB cream which I was able to find the perfect shade and really like it. My mom and I can basically wear the same shade. She’s has worn the bareMinerals for years now, but the price is really gone up. I had her try the Maybelline and she really couldn’t find any difference in it. I haven’t tried the covergirl one yet though but thanks again for doing this video.

I love the Covergirl BB cream and it’s my daily go-to. Squeeze it onto the back of your hand and then apply it to your face with a damp sponge 🙂

This was so helpful! Going to try the maybelline since I have dry skin and can’t find a tinted spf I like! I use a non-tinted spf and think the maybelline will be perfect to add on top after seeing this ! Extra spf and a moisturing tint, yes please :) Thanks!

Why do you look orange on the check in bits? Is it because you've put other makeup on your face or is it because of the BB cream?

At the end of the video your skin had that greasy orange hue to it and you didn't have it in the beginning. Are the bb creams the cause of the excessive oil and orange tone?
