For audio tracks that are not music, like an ambient loop or sound effects or something, you can split the track in half, and copy the first half into the second half but reverse it. So it will play forward until the halfway mark and then play in reverse so the start, middle and ends will be identical, creating a nice loop.

For anyone who gets tiny little crackles or pops where they join the looped section together (to make a long loop), highlight up to 128 samples at the seam between the two copies of the loop. Go into effects and click repair. It should fix the little crackle/pop and make the loop completely seamless :)

that fade out/in trick to remove the loop popping is so cursed, but oddly enough it works like a charm...thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! I'm working as an arts-educator and I'm developing a module on Hip Hop music but it's been a journey and a half trying to figure out how to actually loop breaks seamlessly without using a turntable + 2 identical records or using an MPC or the like. I can't thank you enough for this info. Cheers.

just copy and part it back: select all (CTRL + A), copy (CTRL + C) past (CTRL + V) at the fitting location. but normally you would use a loop in a sampler or other devise and not loop it in a audio file.

I had to extend Ennio Morricone's - The Funeral, by 1min. Bit of a fiddle, but with your advice and copy/paste it worked seamlessly. Very moving piece, not a dry eye at the service. Thank you Sir.

I listened to all this without realizing it is Olivio the Affinity Designer guy ! It sounds like a pimply East German teenager ! :-)
Your English has improved 1000% since then !

a note on Olivio's pronunciation: here is someone who is clever, and also nice, not only has a warm and good style but also he is teaching us what we need (that's why we are here, right?)...
to mock his pronunciation is clearly a dumb thing -- people can usually tolerate when someone is not a native English speaker or/and has a different accent then theirs... you guys should try that too, just so you know what it could feel like to be a nicer person... which is always an option :)

in any case, you got what you came here for, and in very god quality, so perhaps you could say thanks..
but then again, it is up for anyone how they comment a video

Very cool, I never thought about "fading in" at the begining of a loop and fading out at the end crossing the "0" line to omit seams.

Use repair instead of fade out? How to turn repetitive sound into progressing?
