Neopets: The History of the Grundo

My grundo needed to change color, leading to the perfect opportunity to explain a bit of Neopets history! Follow along as I paint my Neopet and turn her into an orange Grundo.

Grundos are one of many different species that exist in Neopia. Originally they did not come from Neopia, they were kidnapped and forced to work on the Virtupets Space Station by Dr Sloth during his attempted invasion. After being freed from Dr Sloth's clutches many Grundos left the Space Station and have set up homes all over the planet.

Neopians everywhere came running to the rescue, and before long the Space Faerie was able to put an end to Dr. Sloth's plot. Grundos are now free, but there are still millions of them looking for homes. Why don't you go and adopt!

Watching your Neopets videos enticed me to find the login to my account that is currently 7 years old and I have forgotten all the mechanics of the game. Mind you that's my second account that I made and the search for the first one I've ever made continues. Very humorous and informative video!

I didn't mind the floral paint color, but with the neopets redesigns, I knew that they couldn't really break the silhouettes to get interesting floral or wood nymph style designs.

I would love to see some more videos in the future about all the different pet species :) Grundos are cool. I have one and I too thought that I had found a glitch as a kid when I made my Grundo as my second pet. I would like to see videos on pet species that aren't often talked about too. Like Tuskaninnys who just don't get the love they deserve and are my favorite species :p

I'm not a huge fan of Grundos as a owner of one, but I am amazed at.. well... I THINK the inspiration TNT is taking when making the Grundos, its backstory and the story/plot behind them and in the web comics. I'm... Not going to go into detail, but it goes to show that Neopet plots/comics can go deep and exciting... And glad that my childhood enjoyment is something niche.

Man, I joined Neopets after the plots. My account got locked and then deleted at some point (no longer had the email to access it), so the only record of those exciting years is my first published story in the Neopian Times which was... uh. Not the BEST legacy to leave, but I was little... This art is so nostalgic although nowadays, Subeta scratches the same itch for me whenever I msis it.
