Miroslav Klose is probably the most underrated worldclass (and always fair sportsman) striker of this still young century.

What makes Klose so likeable, is that he has always stayed down to earth and was a fair player. Not only in this fun match but as an active player in Serie A, he admitted that a penalty about to be awarded to him for being fouled should not be given as he thought it was not a foul. This tells a lot about his character.
All respect to the amateur kickers as well, in particular the goalkeeper seems to have done a pretty good job.

Der Wechsel zu Werder Bremen unter Thomas Schaaf gab ihm nochmal einen richtigen Schub. Zusammen mit Sturmpartner Ivan Klasnic lieferte die "Tor Fabrik" Werder Bremen den appetitlichsten Offensiv Fußball der Bundesliga ab. In Werder Spielen fielen die meisten Tore. Was Miro in meinen Augen vor anderen auszeichnet, sind sein Teamgeist und seine Fairness. Kein Egomane, immer der Mannschaft dienen. Und bescheiden, zurückhaltend, fast schüchtern. "Miroslav Klose, sie haben heute ein Tor geschossen." "Und was bringt mir das ? Ich hätte lieber drei Punkte mitgenommen!" Es wurde viel an Miro herumgenörgelt.
