Both of your assessments on the Bombers supporters is inaccurate. Most of us have pretty much accepted where the level of the club truly lies and genuinely needs be going forward especially when Tasmania enters in a few years which is simply bottom 4-6. The club has wasted 20 years taking too many short cuts and sugar hits and ultimately avoided a proper, hard rebuild for years greatly thanks to the former List Manager Adrian Dodoro. With him finally gone for good and Matt Rosa taking his place, the priority has finally shifted towards building the list properly and focusing on the development of young talent that are likely be part of the next Premiership team. The list is considerably younger and the club will have a great draft hand to work with at the end of this coming season. Potentially up to 3 first round picks if Draper goes to the Crows in free agency and the club gets band 1 compensation for him which can either used to trade for a star or borderline star level player or just stock up on elite level young talent particularly in both key defence and key forward positions. Either way the future of the club is much brighter.

As for this coming season. I personally expect others to step up more and help Merret carry the load. I especially want to see someone else other than him win the Crichton Medal for a change. Either Durham or Martin would be terrific. I want to see a better, more exciting brand of footy with much more movement in the forward line instead of long kicks to big packs consistently intercepted by opposition defenders. I want to see underperforming players dropped far more often rather than constantly persitted with and great VFL form from the young players actually rewarded. I want to see players back in their best positions. Martin especially should never be playing at half-back period.

Stringer was a defensive liability who tapered off heavily as the game, and the season, wore on. It was like being down one player by half time. For every goal he kicked, we conceded 2.

We will take a couple steps back to take steps forward in 2025, but it won't be because of Stringer, it'll be because of the overall decrease in average age/experience.

Safe to say the lions are overs this year after kingy said they wouldnt be. "You can coach poorly and win" - kingy after fagan coached a 44 point comeback against gws in a semi

A fit Harrison Petty moves down back to lock down scoring with May and Lever, Aiden Johnson forward creates space for Van Rooyen to work. Super fit Viney, Petracca and Oliver feeding off Gawn. Dee's played the most under 22s when the season was done definitely could play dividends. Top 4 locked in!!! ❤️💙

How do you both feel about the sacking of Peter Lalor? Disgusting actions by slimy craig and the crew. Do better.

Kane Cornes took the whip to St. Kilda and Ross Lyon again which is his life's favourite pastime and David King as usual follows Cornes opinion like hand goes in glove. Think for yourself for once King.

I don't care if Essendon win 8 games, 10 games or finish 6th with 13 wins. We don't have a list that can challenge the flag. We need to bottom out and play the kids and get as much young draft talent before Tasmania join. I'd rather see Hobbs (still think he has plenty to offer, just needs opportunity), Tsatas, Kako, Caddy, Roberts, Bryan etc get games and key roles over some of our more average players that may be better than them at the moment.
If that means we finish bottom 4 with maybe 7 wins, so be it, I'd rather see our 1st pick end up being top 4/5 during a rebuild, then 9th or 10th where we usually end up and not have access to the real top end draft talent we seem to always miss out on.

I think Freo will be the big mover this year. Good recruiting and had a lot of bad luck with key injuries last year and a tough run of fixtures against all the in-form sides resulting in several narrow losses at the end of the season.

Hilarious comment from Kingy regarding Daniher. All the comment were that brisbane would never win a flag with Daniher to now they are lost without him.

Collingwood still going under Kingy and Cornes?
Still confident about that Kane?
Still going to miss the 8 as well Cornes?
Fremantle still going to play in a prelim? Lol hilarious

I do not see why anyone thinks Freo will improve on last year. I don't get it.

Want to revisit the Cats after Round one, Kingy? Holmes was awesome, Danger was, well, dangerous, and Smith was BOG in a side full of them. SDK will be a great ruckman, just like his brother, and Neale is on his way to filling the admittedly huge hole left by Tomahawk. 13 goalkickers in that demolition job on one of your top four picks. Under? You're kidding.

Another day, another receipt for the magpie fans to keep. I hope Cornes is right for his own sake

What’s with all the positivity for Melbourne. I can see them making top 8 but I think people are sleeping on Goodwin. There are a lot better coaches in the AFL who would get more out of this list. He’s a decent coach that clearly can’t adapt to the modern game and coach his side to play attacking fast football.
