Malala Yousafzai has helped launch a campaign calling on world leaders to take urgent action to help get girls in Afghanistan back to school.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner, together with women’s rights advocates Zarqa Yaftali and Shaharzad Akbar have written an open letter to the Taliban.

In it they say the Taliban are “denying millions their right to learn” and urge them to “re-open girls’ secondary schools immediately”.

A Pakistani and an Australian women giving me their pointless opinion about a third country for 3mn, while the afghani woman used as a prop at the end for 30 seconds . This is not news, just propaganda

Compared to Reta, Malala has made some achievements on helping vulnerable and disadvantaged. Hope she can become the light of future generstion and bring everyone out of crisis.

A very much worthy Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Malala. A cause definitely worth fighting, Afghan girls' right to education.

Afghan girls don't need a Pakistani fake role model/victim to talk on their behalf. Afghanistan has many brave and educated beautiful young girls to defend their own rights.

She got a lot from the world and she should return to Afghanistan to help her people. No point in living in Western countries & campaign!!

If Malala thinks that she could make any difference in Afghanistan, she should go there and conduct her campaign to get Afghan girls' back to school. Virtue signalling from the safety of UK is meaningless to the Taliban.

There’s a typo in the title and it seriously makes me question the validity of this journalism

This is too late, even for showing condemnation just by Video Calls(Safely). She had it, but lost it a long time ago.

As afghan i have not seen anyone is barred from going to school.
They are mixed schools they stopped girls from going to mixed schools
There are some girls school open cause they were girls schools from day one and their teachers were not male they had. Their own female teachers
Plus there are not enough schools in Afghanistan they were all destroyed in USA nato air strikes. Most the boys are studying under the trees and open fields.
Taliban have zero budget for everything right now they need to build new schools before they can allow girls to go schools.
They asked us for more time and they are looking for more female teachers as before most teachers were male teaching girls. It's gonna take time they haven't even formed their government yet and you want them to do everything in one day while you cpudlnt do it in 20 years

"Girls are choosing not to go to school"...funny, cause when I was a kid I didn't have such choice as my parents MADE ME go to school. I wish the Taleban knew how much they are missing out by not sending their girls to study.

When men too egoistic, they stop girls going to school. How selfish
