I bought an E-code '57. Since I wasn't planning to use the engine I sold it. I got more for the engine than I paid for the car.

The sticker on the driver's fender makes it worth the asking price, whatever it may be.

Ford had two long stroke engines: 292 and 312. Both of course had the distinct distributor in the back like Chevy

Ford had originally intended to use the y block for the 352 and the E code block could be could safely bored out 90 thousandths and I heard of people going 110 thousandths. I had the block and heads. Dropped it in my 55 vic when I was done with building it

They were heavy for their size (which contributed to a pretty smooth ride)
But ten more cubic inches than your run of the mill v8 Cougar or Mustang in the 70's
WITH FACTORY DUAL QUADS.
Can you imagine if Ford decided to offer a featherweight model with that mill?

Love that 312 thunderbird special and the FJB STICKER ESPECIALLY

Based on that condition, got to be 40k plus. It didn’t look like it needed much and I’d guess it’s about a 200k car when done right.

Wasn't there a factory part option supercharger available on these 2x4 312's ?
What engine was Ford running in Nascar that yr? The same?

The absolute best part of the car is the screw Biden sticker.
I second that. FJB!!!

Nope, the factory supercharge F code is the most desirable.

It's Missing Both Carbs.& Body is Rough Condition. One of Nicest Things About 57 was the Calif.Style front Bumper that 55 & 56 did not have.

Best thing about that car is the sticker
