This explains A LOT! I am finally getting a sense of how he is in trauma and how he feels over-responsible for it. I want to assuage his fears to let him know that love itself is a gift from God. You don't earn it. It is unconditional. You don't have any negative power over it. And that it is there because you need it and want it. And also that you can make it grow by believing in it.
