Basim Is Finally A Fast Assassin

This update came as a huge surprise and I want to thank the team at Ubisoft Bordeaux for being responsible for the best post launch service I've ever seen for this series. The developers have gained my respect not only for taking notice of what a big part of the community has been yearning for since 2014 but also for finally reintroducing what means so damn much to me and many others. This is truly a gamechanging patch and for me it's worth much more than any DLC or post launch content of this series in the last decade. Bordeaux has proven to genuinely care about the origins of Assassin's Creed in 2023 and I would be more than happy to see this passionate team be given the opportunity to take the lead on a bigger project in the franchise, they -- and we -- truly deserve it.

it really is crazy to me that ubisoft bordeaux implemented changes that the community wanted from a fan made mod of all things. i know the creative director saw the mod on reddit but i didn’t think anything would actually come out of it. he clearly saw the height eject mod and the response from the community to it and made this happen

I'm so in for this to become a trend. It would be nice with how many games come out unfinished or lackluster, that companies start to feel pressure from the modding scene. After all, the fact shouldn't go unnoticed, that there's something really wrong about the industry, when the very players(modders) have to come out and fix a game, even going to the lenghts of implementing new features or restoring cut content... (AND for free!) While the company behind the game either don't do or say anything, or have their marketing guys make excuses about things not being possible. Even blaming the very people who paid for their products.

Modders really are one of the best things to happen to the gaming industry.

I think what the movement needs is the more simplistic mechanic from the older games. It worked and made the parkour quicker and simple.

The more animations added on to make it more 'realistic' just slows it down
