Benchmade Undercurrent Dive Knife Review 2024: Best High-End Knife

The Benchmade Undercurrent is our pick for the best high-end knife—don’t discount it because it’s pricey though. This knife is a beast. It’s one of the larger knives we tested, but it’s also comfortable in your hand. It’s easy to get in and out of the sheath with all but the thickest gloves.

Note though that the lock tab is pretty small and the sheath is not ambidextrous. That means if you try to put it back in backwards you’re going to have problems. This is one of the sharpest knives we tested, and there's a reason you'll find these on a ton of fishing boats. It cuts through rope with ease, including a ¼-inch poly braided “dock rope” and thicker.

I knew the sheath for this knife was going to be an issue before I bought it, so I got a spec ops small sheath at the same time I ordered it.. and It works and fits perfectly, love it
It's too bad I can't use the sheath the way it comes, with no way to mount it whatsoever... stupid. Which is too bad because I liked the way it clicked in.anyway,
Now that I have a suitable sheath, this knife is exactly what I wanted and more than I expected. It's awesome in the hand, the balance, and grip, the jimping on the thumb, the first thing I noticed was the amazing grip...solid!
