And here I am, 11 years later, still wanting to obtain one of these.

I want them to finnish with a video that says, get all these tones and more with the AXE-FX

Periphery's riffs own everything. Technicality AND pure great grooves AND MOST IMPORTANTLY great songwriting all in one package. That's what makes Periphery so good.

I love how everyone in the comments for amp demos are suddenly all experts. Misha Mansoor isn't the best guitarist out there by a long way, but he's known for the music he writes/records/produces by himself and his friends. THAT is why he's respected by his fans, not because he's as accurate as a computer, but because he writes great music and cares so much about making it sound like HE wanted. Anyway, I don't see anyone else here with guitars, pedals etc made for them because of what they do...

These have to be the best high gain amp demos on YouTube, especially because they have two players for demoing after this video. Premier Guitar, I only wish you would do more! I'd love to hear Misha Mansoor with the EVH 5150III.

Misha always ends up sounding like a 15 year old in a guitar shop

That kind of clean on this kind of amp is madness. Great amp.

I'm going to watch all of these vids and learn these quick snippets of songs Misha's playing!

Personally I prefer the Framus Dragon. The chord work sounds good from the Cobra, but the palm mutes from the Dragon sound better. Maybe if you had a band with one guitarist playing through a Cobra and the other playing through a Dragon it'd sound better.

@metalchannel96 It's an overdrive, not a distortion pedal. Its only adding in a small amount of gain the way most players have them set. It helps tighten the low end and boost the mids.

I don't know how he managed to make a fantastic amp sound like complete anus, but he did.

Hmmm...I love how raunchy and ballsy this amp sounds. I'm impressed with how well it responds to the unique tone qualities of that 7string guitar. Especially in the lower register.

The problem with this demo is the orange cab. Usually them V30 speakers work great for metal, but the cobra is designed to work with greenbacks. Apparently, G12Ts and Eminence Legends also work great with it.

One of the best high gain amps ever, among the best.

B or higher on the Cobra. That's where it shines. Way to much low end on tap for drop A and lower. I've had one for 8 years. These amps are so underrated in the sheer versatility they offer. You just need to understand it, bias it nice and warm, and not play like this. ;)

the clean channel is heavenly though, and the crunch channel sounded better than the lead when he used the ts9

One of my favourite in this series. The Soldano is a sweet crunchy amp too.

The framus here has a very sweet rich harmonic lead heavy crunch. I am very surprised at how good this amp sounded...
very well designed tone circuit !
