The edge lettering error is showing up on the native American proof (San Fran mint) coins. When I received my Silver Proof set I noticed that the 2019 and S were missing or hardly discernible and strangely there was an abrasion on another part of the edge (it looked as though some machinery had made a small gash on the edge). The only lettering that was readable was E Pluribus Unum. I have heard of this error elsewhere by one other person at another coin community web forum -- and it too occurred with a Native American dollar in the Silver Proof set.

Note in my case I got the Silver Proof Set directly from the mint (I have the package receipt) and neither the box nor the plastic holder shows any signs of tampering -- all other coins show no errors.

Have you heard of such errors (or due to the abrasion on the coin, would this be considered a "Damaged" coin) on 2019-S Native American coins?

Beautiful coin! Thank you for sharing! My uncle Neal went to school with Neal Armstrong! My grandpa was half Cherokee. So awsome to see all these space and Apollo coins. I purchased double set of all the Apollo coins. All except the gold one. I will be purchasing this coin as well. I have a beautiful collection of the Sacajawea dollar coin’s! Pretty cool!!
