2022 Gibson Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Gold Top

As you know, we love gold top Les Pauls, and we are all fans of this modern version from the Gibson Murphy Lab! Built last year and in absolutely mint condition, this beauty looks and sounds the part, down to the lovely checking in the finish and the great tone. Includes the original case and all factory paper work and case candy! Today we're having Nick Mardon plug it into reissue Fender '57 Custom Twin amp for the demo.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a Gibson gold top guitar plugged into a Fender tweed amp. Killer playing, too!

A Les Paul into a Tweed amp is a great combination. I have an R6 (not Murphy) that I play into a 5e3 Deluxe clone (Clark) that just kills.

This guitar looks terrific! Kudos to Gibson for those pickup covers. The old ones were to much round on the corners ande those look much better as the old ones.

That's interesting. Cool player, cool guitar. But he just doesn't sound good with Les Paul. Seems like this guy is a stratocaster type of player - i guess I am the same
