Thank you for such an unbiased and informative review! I've been searching for a fitness tracker, NOT a smart watch, to replace ancient Fitbits for three people in our household, because it's time, and Fitbit has been harping so much on their premium subscription service - which annoys me. We have no Apple devices, so that's not relevant for us. We're retired - we don't really care about phone calls, text, or notifications on a fitness tracker. We have cell phones if we really want that. Battery life, readable displays, ease of use, reliability - now you're talking!

been using the gts4mini for half a year now. replace the band with a fabric based one, it'd be much lighter and you'd probably not even notice it on your wrist. nothing more i could ask for from a watch. an audio feedback device(speaker or tweeter) would be great for alarms, but it's fine i guess

I’ve been using it for more than a month now and I like it. The only issue I have is the battery life when I turned on the always on display. I used to wear their first gen bip and the battery lasted more than 2 months even with AOD turned on. Other than that, it’s really fun to use. Just wished that it could work the same with iOS devices like how it is on Android

My husband has the T-Rex model and loves it. I currently have an iwatch and the battery life (the watch goes dead around 3pm every day) is driving me crazy, so I just ordered this mini. I currently don’t use all the bells and whistles on my iwatch. I just want the time, my texts and my workout information. I’ll give an update once I’ve had the mini for a few months. I'm still choosing between the amazfit gts 4 mini and the amazfit gts 3, which one would you guys say is the better option? I mostly want to use it for sports and all the features like the heartbeat and kilometers etc., so I care a bit less about the notifications and calling and stuff. Please help me haha

I have had this watch since November 2022 because I got a pixel 7 pro and ditched apple ..so my apple watch was not working with the pixel. After using it for over a month I can honestly say that this watch is way lighter than the apple one and lasts me the whole week before recharging, the free watch faces are great, always have the screen on, the pedometer is on point (after I took the plastics on the back lol they where so invisible to my bad eyes I did not notice it had two things to peel off), the screen is nice to look at and the best thing is the price !! It has its own alarm sets no phone is required, Alexa works great, and the list can go on and on . The only thing it does not have is a mic to answer calls but ..I did that so rarely on apple ..and I think I looked stupid talking to my watch lol .. kind of like the people who air all conversations on phones in public ...lol ...I love the watch .. My mom got the one lower than this ..was like 60 dollars..and she loves it ..I got the GTS with a discount of 20 dollars so it was about 100 after taxes. Never going back to apple now! Apple watches are so heavy now to use ..this one is way lighter ...and last longer. I did put the heart monitor every 5 minutes ( If you don't have a heart condition and not working out, y who needs tracking their heart every second lol ) Great watch ..just need to mess with it ..and please don't use an apple phone with this one.

I have the GTS 2 mini, and anyone who sees it always asks - is that an apple watch [and I usually tell them yes 😂].
.
I got the watch primarily because my eyesight is getting worse, and hence I wanted a device with a big screen so that I could still see the time if I didn´t have my glasses with me.
ONE of the watch face options is perfect for that purpose [it is a bit disappointing that many apps etc. on the watch use a very small sized font - e.g. the stop watch app - and there is no way to change that - hence, yes I can see the time without my glasses, but cannot really use the stopwatch app etc. ☹].

Generally I don´t have the watch connected by Bluetooth to my phone - because I prefer to have maximum battery life on my phone and watch.
Also, I bought the device to have a watch - not to have alerts / notifications etc. etc.
However, I have used the alerts / notifications feature and actually it was very useful.
You don´t really need to have it all the time - though it is always useful.
But I would tend to only use it when e.g. I am out at a party or am expecting a message that I don´t want to miss.
For those scenarios the notifications on the watch are great because you can just quickly look at your watch and see / read the notification and then dismiss it.
It is quick and means that you don´t need to take your phone out of your pocket.

Also, the sleep tracking by the watch was very interesting and useful.
Not sure if it is 100% accurate, but still it gives enough information to notice certain things / patterns.

Looks like the GTS 4 mini is a bit nicer than the GTS 2 mini - in that it has a slightly larger screen.
But it is not that much different otherwise.

One thing that I wish these speakerless watches had - would be a simple "beep" style speaker.
You know, the type like any 80´s or 90´s digital watch had.
An internal speaker for music might be nice, but why not just fit a simple "beep" style speaker for optional use as an alarm?
It would also be useful when using the stopwatch, and useful for notifications too.
I guess such a feature does not exist because there isn´t enough space for it.
But I can´t imagine that it would be an expensive addition, and it is a feature from a wristwatch that I miss.

Oh, the only other issue [apart from not even a basic speaker and no way to change stopwatch font size] is that the watch DOES NOT autodetect if you are doing exercise.
I was fairly surprised about that, but yeah - you have to activate - tell it you are doing sport, which is a pain really.
