Particle 2's path should be 1/2 of Particle 1's path, I think.
r1 = mv/[|q|B] = m√(2|qV|/m)/[qB] = M√(2QV/M)/[QB] = √2 * M√(QV/M)/[QB]
(for Particle 1, |q| = Q and m = M)

r2 = mv/[|q|B] = m√(2|qV|/m)/[qB] = (M/2)√(2(2Q)V/(M/2))/[(2Q)B] = √2/2 * M√(QV/M)/[QB]
(for Particle 2, |q| = 2Q and m = M/2)

On the exam, I made the erroneous assumption that the velocities of the two particles would be the same, so I drew r1 4x as large as r2. But I hope you're right that College Board won't look too closely into the relative sizes of the paths.

Thanks for working through these FRQs ^-^! FRQ 4 was probably my favorite nonetheless, since we did so much practice with this topic in class.
