Real Name: Uwe-Michael Wischhof.

Mike Mareen was born on November, 9th 1949 in Berlin (West Germany). First, he was a drummer, but later he was the singer of the group Cemetery Institution (non-disco) and performed in Hamburg´s legendary 'Star Club', where The Beatles used to play in their beginnings.

Then he became a sailor, went to New York and spent some years there. Back in Germany again, he released the hit "DANCING IN THE DARK" in 1984, followed by his biggest success hit "LOVE SPY" and after "AGENT OF LIBERTY" in 1986, a great disco track as well. In 1985 Mike released his first album entitled: "DANCE CONTROL". After two years later in 1987 he released his second album called: "LET'S START NOW". This album included his new super-hit: "DON'T TALK TO THE SNAKE". Both albums were released by well-known Germany label Night'n Day Records / Zyx Records.

Mike like many disco artists has wrote and produced tracks released by other artists. He produced hit like: "BIRTHDAY GIRL", "HOW ARE YOU" and "VISION OF LOVE" by Italo-Disco star DJ'S PROJECT; "LA DONNA", "WIN THE RACE" and "THE DEVIL WINS" by AMADEUS LISZT; "DO IT" by DIGITAL RAM; "ROADRUNNER by U.K.

In 1997 DJ SHAH & ESPIRITO by label Zyx Records released new remix his song: "DANCING IN THE DARK". After two years in 1999 arrived the new Maxi Single: "TV TALK 2000". In 2003 Mike in collaboration with DA-FREAKS by label A45 Music released another remix his song: "LOVE SPY RELOADED". The next year in 2004 comes a new album: "DARKNESS AND LIGHT - THE ALBUM".

Ich habe nie auch nur ein Cent für meine Arbeit gesehen ! Dabei habe ich das ganze in meinem (!) Studio produziert mit Karin Colsman zusammen, es wurde mein Krankenhausaufenthalt genutzt um mich "Auszubooten" und ich habe deshalb nie etwas für meine Arbeit erhalten, weil es eine schlechte Aufnahmequalität habe und es können niemanden angeboten werden... Komisch bei so vielen Internet-Musik-Anbietern zu sehen.

Das kann im Übrigen Karin Colsman bestätigen !
