Canada leads the world in carbon taxes

If you’re a Canadian watching this, you’ve probably paid a carbon tax today … unless you’re a Newfoundlander who just bought some heating oil. But unlike most of our other taxes – income taxes, sales taxes – this is a rather unique thing we do.

Funny, it is so cold in Antarctica right now, a -80C or -116F. CO2 freezes at -78C. How is it that the Antartica is melting when it has max ice extent and the first Blizzard there is the coldest it's ever been? Add to that the Arctic has max ice extent too. Exactly what is the carbon tax paying? And exactly why does it even need to be collected, other than support this Trudeau Liberal/NDP government overspending, and the lining of their pockets? The don't want to build roads. EV tires are heavier, wear out quicker, and are damaging roads that will not be replaced or repaired if the Liberals had their way. They have proven EV vehicles don't work well in this countries climate. And wind and solar tech is not working well either, and needs to be supported/subsidized by coal, natural gas electric production.

When you tax a people then give them a rebate, you are creating two transactions with a net zero outcome than if you just had a lower tax rate to begin with.

Each transaction requires wage employees and data systems to execute the transactions, and audit them if you’re concerned about accountability.
