“The Reapers” hits different when you’re a Mass Effect player.

Context: here ins Spain during the 16-18ths centuries we had something called "virrei" (like a grand lord and politician also the right hand of the king) here in Catalonia. The case is that the relations between catalans and the spanish crown where not at his best moment in the 17th century and one day a revolt broke out near Barcelona because of the abuse of spanish autority during the operations to fight France in the War of the 30 Years.
The turmoil of peasants and farmers, armed with reapers specially, raided the authority's palace forcing the virrei trying to escape to the port but he couldnt get on a boat. The kings delegate was then injuried, chased and finally killed on that beach.

As much as I believe that Catalonia should stay part of Spain since just as much as England and Scotland she and Castillian Spain had a shared history, this makes me stand and applaud for them, so yeah no hard feelings if Catalonia truly decides to be independent.
