I work for a major truck rental company. Full electric F650 and F750 platform has been released as showing up in our nationwide fleet as soon as 2023.

A hybrid with the propower onboard would be an absolutely massive success. So many people tow campers that want the generator capability but can’t use a 150 due to payload limitations. This would be the go-to boondocking camping rig. Whats behind the cab on all these spy shots- a step… more room for a battery?

A Powerboost 7.3 V8 Gas would be pretty cool for the RV Crowd!

I would love if the hybrid version came with a diesel option and a 7.5 - 12.5K 50 Amp inverter. I would think Ford would sell a ton of them to contractors and people why tow travel trailers.

The exhaust has a Marmon flange welded to it. It's used for emissions and other engine testing.

If there was a powerstroke hybrid, it would dominate. Especially if it got deleted and tuned 😉😉

Locomotives have been a hybrid for a long time, the torque alone would be awesome.

This is what I have been waiting for. I hope it’s with the 7.3 liter gas engine and a hybrid system with the 7.2KW inverter.. this would be the perfect setup to tow a nice recreational trailer and power it when dry camping.

HD hybrid truck with lower fuel consumption and a power bank makes a lot of sense. Especially if it can run AC and computers or tablets for no idle mobile office. Plug in hybrid would be even better. Electric trucks are still range and capacity limited hybrid is a perfect solution until electric is ready for prime time.
Wonder if they'll use beefed up F150 hybrid parts or work with XL fleet?
Be nice to see 20 mpg on a gas hybrid and 24 mpg or better with diesel.

I know a lot of us are saying it would be great for recreational use for a 7.2kw Inverter hybrid heavy duty truck but I would absolutely love a hybrid truck with an inverter like that to use for work for my business! I tow nearly every day and use a lot of power tools, wired lights and an 8 gallon air compressor and a generator takes up soooo much space. I would love to get more power and economy for less than a diesel and the capability to run corded tools. I'm definitely not on board yet with fully electric trucks but hybrid HD trucks is definitely up my alley!

Waiting for someone to make a plug in hybrid mid sized truck. Drive to/from work, grocery store, etc. without using gas. Then have gas for camping, snowboard, etc. trips and towing.

Make the 7.3 in a hybrid.
Perfect!!!
It’s got the payload to handle a battery and motor- that would be so so so cool.

That exhaust is for attaching emissions and noise test systems during the development phase

If Ford IS actually doing Powerboost Generator on the Superduties, we need AT LEAST 12KW (12, 000 Watts) for the AC Welders and massive continuous run air compressors we will be attaching!!!

MAKE SURE we have OUTSIDE OF BED connectors (i.e. where the 240V and 120V power outlets are accessible from OUTSIDE of the bed) AND keep the inside-of-bed power outlets. That means put extra 240V and 120V outlets on the rear panels a bit forward or just to the rear of the back wheels on BOTH sides! This lets contractors store OTHER gear and tools in the back bed while STILL accessing power via a fuel-door-like weather-protected connector that is placed outside of the bed. We need power outlets on BOTH sides of the truck because when parking on worksites, we sometimes are parked right against a warehouse or concrete barriers and need power access on the side that is actually free for use!

SO REMEMBER FORD! We need AT LEAST TWO 120V and at least TWO 240V power outlets on the outside rear of the truck bed ON BOTH SIDES of the truck! if it's possible, please ALSO ADD some outside USB-3 Type-A and USB Type-C connector outlets of 2.1 amps at least per plug charging specification AND add some 12 Volt DC outlets!

Make the life of contractors and workers EASIER --- ADD the external-to-bed power and charging outlets!

P.S. Add a large EXTERNALLY OPENING DOOR PANEL combo fridge/freezer so we can access our cold drinks, sandwiches, frozen ice cream from outside of the truck without ever having to open the truck doors! Just walk up, swipe our phones or key in our access code and the fridge/freezer opens-up in one of the door panels. You might as well put a combo fridge/freezer on BOTH sides of the truck! Make the combo fridge/freezer unit big enough for a six-pack of Coca Cola/Sprite AND at least four Subway foot-long sandwiches in the fridge/cooler portion AND a four-litre bucket (one gallon) of ice cream in the Freezer portion!

Contractors/Workers are HUNGRY PEOPLE !!! Make those externally-accessible combo fridge/freezers BIG ENOUGH to store that amount of food!

Need a full sized Ford truck that can go 40 -50 miles electric plug in yet still have 6.7 diesel or 7.3 gas for trips. Also want 12 kv available for worksite or powering home when needed. I don’t need the engines more powerful they have more than enough now

If they come out with a F-250 Powerboost with 7.2kW 240V plug - they can have my money.

You could see the power (plug ins) panel in the driver’s rear side before the cover is tucked in under the tonneau. They are at least going to Pro Power Onboard!!
