I was a huge Circle of Dust fan in the 90's and then I discovered Klayton's brother Level. I never thought I could like anything as much as C.O.D. but Level was neck and neck...then he disappeared after only 2 CDs only to give a glimmer of false hope on things like this.

Just for kicks, I'm gonna ask Klay if we can have Blue Stahli remix the original "Immortal" cassette.

Wait, so we did the remixes for Ultranumb, are we doing the same thing for Metamorphosis? Because i'm 100% on board with listening to Blue Stahli songs and remixes for as long as they come out.

I gave this a thumbs down (HE DID WHAT?!?!?), so I think I should at least explain my position. Here's my big point: Bret, I don't want to hear someone else's music from you, I want to hear YOUR music. The original 'Metamorphosis' is one of my favorite songs (and I sincerely mean that), so listening to this doesn't nearly feel the same, and the sad-ish atmosphere seems jarringly wrong with your cathartic vocals. It lost a lot of the original 'weirdness' and unsettling feeling too since the strange electronic noises were removed. It doesn't sound nearly as amazing, and the music just doesn't give me that 'warm hug' kind-of feeling from the original. It sounds like it'd do much better if it was turned into its own 'remorseful' sort of song because the mellow atmosphere keeps being disturbed by the little blips & such, combined with the thud and shaking-like noises that gives a good sense of time and intensity. So, even though I think the song could sound good if it was taken farther in its own direction, I don't like it :(

(maybe I'm thinking about this too much or something, but that's how I feel about it)
