I'm a foundation junkie and own an embarrassing number. My most hated was the Charlotte Tilbury....baadddd, bad things happened and I looked dreadful. My favorite find of 2022 isn't new at all, but amazing...the Armani Luminous Silk....omg....so great for my combo aging skin.

Completely agree with the Nars foundation. I love it at the beginning, 1 hour later it’s a complete disaster, at the end of the day I hate it. My favorite has been the Dior mate, because I have oily skin. That one last all day and without primer

Omgosh!! Pat McGrath’s foundation is my holy grail too!! And so far nothing can compare to that foundation for me! So I want to try the Channel, thanks for ur review!! Can’t wait to try ur top 4. 💋

I just bought the saie foundation I’m so glad you liked it. Seems like we have similar taste in foundations so I’m happy it got your approval makes me hopeful I’ll like it

The Nars Light-reflecting foundation looks beautiful with a water-based primer. (My favorite is the Wet'n'Wild Impossible primer.) I almost gave this foundation away because it looked so bad on its own. I also found that the Nars mixes really well with more satin/matt formulas to make them a bit less drying and more natural-looking.

Patty, did you miss the Pat McGrath one day, 40 percent off sale on her foundation? It was today. I just found it in time. Nothing beats Pat's foundation (I found it thanks to you). It's so pricy that 40 percent off means more people can get hooked. Hope you snagged yourself a bottle. Thanks for your videos.

I have the NARS light reflecting foundation and I find that it works best when you apply with your fingers like Nars recommends. The heat from your hands really helps to get it to melt in. If I don’t do that it does emphasize texture. It’s my favorite foundation so I don’t mind this at all. Give it a try!!

best line in forever: I took it back because I was offended how bad it was. I just love that. You are beautiful inside and out❤stunning eyemakeup btw

That NARS foundation is my absolute favorite, and I’m 50 with dry skin. I started wearing it in cold weather and wasn’t sure how it would hold up in the heat, but I wore it this weekend in 100 degree heat with a mask and it still looked flawless after hours of wear. I imagine that not only is skin prep key, but our individual ways we move our faces when we talk, chew, etc. I don’t get any of the issues you mentioned. I’m also notorious for my RBF though.

I recently found your channel in the last few months, and your videos just brighten up my day. I've learned so much especially about eyeshadow application. Your tutorials are the BEST! Thank you for all your hard work 😊

I have tried nars, Chanel no 1 and Charlotte tillbury and out of all, nars has my heart. It performs beautiful on me. Chanel in the other hand looks beautiful initially but doesn’t wear well at all. Charlotte tillbury is an ok foundation perhaps a lil too glowy. Surrat dew drop was also a disappointment. Tom ford shade & illuminate is my holy grail for now.

I had no idea you lived in ATL! My husband and I are moving there in two weeks. Hope to run into you at one of the many Sephoras!

I tried samples for some of these foundations you spoke about here, and I have to completely agree! Kosas, too yellow, CT, sank in every pore, and NARS, while beautiful the 1st hour, I had the same exact problem as you did. I had the Chantecaille foundation at one time, felt the same way about that as well. I haven’t tried the last few yet, but will check out Rare Beauty, and the Chanel #1. I’m thinking the Danessa balm will dry me out though Right now I have the very expensive Sublimage le Teint, which I but very pricey. I have the same skin type as you, but, I’m much older.

I usually don’t like to mix foundations but one day I happened to mix the Nars with the One Size and it was really nice!!!!

Hi Patty! I recently found your channel and I’m really enjoying your content. My skin recently changed from normal to dry to Sahara desert dry, especially my forehead. After watching your review of the Chanel No 1 I tried it and Pat McGrath, love Pat returned Chanel. My current favorite foundations in my collection are: Pat, Chanel Healthy, La Mer, Nars Tinted Moisturizer (medium coverage). I’ve been eyeing the Chantecaille and now I want to try the Em cosmetics cushion.

I can't use any kosas base products. They are all too yellow and they sit on top of my skin too, it's not nice.
I have similar skin, dry especially in winter and with rosacea which causes texture on my cheeks too. So I think I tend to agree with you on base products because of that! I had the same issue with Nars too!!
My only difference is Make Up For Ever HD skin is my #2 because it's so reliable and versatile and can last against the sweaty southern summers. And the No 1 de Chanel is also my #1!
I'm gonna have to try the rare beauty skin tint when I'm out of my current skin tints. :)
