There’s saving money and being cheap. I would rather buy good groceries and have healthy food than eat a sodium filled fake pasta daily to save a buck.

You know what's cheaper Dan? No shirt at all 😏

Ramen is actually unhealthy, and you should only have pasta 2 times a week. Heart attack early on.

Imagine seeing a friend in a long time and the fist thing you say is how much you earn

Nah I’d rather enjoy my life than making a lot of money just to then stay at home and eat ramen

Yknow. If you grow some basil, other plantable spices, tomato you could have pizza all days.. maybe youll need to buy some mozzarella and oil and salt but other than that you could plant some spices and if you live alone you can just have small pots of plant

I like to think that this was a script made and was supposed to have the friends be substituted with real names but there was miscommunication and it turned out like this

It's not how much you make, it's really how much you owe ! A person making 50, 000 dollar a year can live as good as one making 100, 000 dollars a year !

Friend #2 may have more money saved but look at his quality of life; never leaving the house (he could bike or Uber but that means he can’t go far and it gets expensive) old smelly clothes, and eats ramen ever day which is not healthy. Friend #1 definitely doesn’t have it right either, but there’s a balance in between both of those.

Reasons I stay at my current job. I can make more but my cost to work is not enough to justify it.

To the people saying one is better than the other. It’s not a binary decision. You can live beneath your means and still enjoy living you life and going out occasionally. Personally, I chose to live in a slightly more expensive apartment, I go out to eat a couple times a week, and I do things with friends in the city. I still save about 30% of my income tho.

Moral of the story: don’t blow all of your money, but also don’t save every single penny and never enjoy your hard work. There’s a balance

Income is not the money you earn. Income is the money that you save.
