I have a theory.
So Ayumi is a robot built by AIAI. Her father bought her cause his original daughter had died, and he's been lonely. Then, AIAI found out that Ayumi was a killing machine and wanted her back. So, they kidnapped this "daddy". Before he was kidnaped he knew about how she was a killing machine, and being kidnapped. He wrote a message in code so AIAI would not be suspicious. Anyway, you are a baby sitter and the hide and seek was her routine. If you read what Lauren said, she says she's "not like the other kids" which means she also knows that she is a killer robot. When you are playing hide and seek, that's what the father goes through. She likes to play games during her routine. Now, when you find the debug room and she says she's free. All her code goes to AIAI, so she's going to see her "daddy". Thank you if you made it this far! ^w^

I have a theory about the game, so apparently when ayumi was a child in kindergarten she revealed she has Technology powers and stuff like that, so after she did that her and her father has been stalked by AIAI so they could brain wash her and use her powers for something and AIAI found her and her dad and tried to kill her since she didn’t go with them but instead her father protected her and died and she ran away, and us as the player we play as a member of AIAI and ayumi is trying to scare/kill us and run away like she did, but in the true ending u finally free her and she meets her dad
