Tejas is my favourite zz album. Can't explain but I can just listen all the way through every time. Underrated. Give it a chance.

Tejas is my favorite ZZ Top Album. So much good stuff on it. The second half of El Diablo with the kick drum is so cool.

That's an awesome album! If anyone isn't familiar with early ZZ Top, you need to do yourself a favor and buy them all. They are amazing - and in my opinion, way better than their hugely popular 80's hits.

I saw ZZ Top the summer after Rio Grande Mud was released (1972) in the town where the album was recorded at Robin Hood (Brians) Studios. It was loud and we stood right in front of the stage.

Every track on that album was unique with some great guitar licks

Pan Am Highway Blues is a great example of what made the older ZZ Top stuff a little different from most bluesy boogie-woogie bands. They could sing in harmony, they had killer riffs, and every guy in the band could play his butt off. Oh, and the song hooks were tremendous.

I really love those early ZZ top albums, among my absolute favorites.

I just got home from seeing Reverend Billy and the guys! And here you are playing Billy Gibbons riffs! ZZ Top still kicks it after 50+ years!

ZZ was my first concert. First rock live performance. The beginning of the end
of my future with the clarinet. Less Brahms, Les Paul, mo' Billy. Great lesson, thanks.

Awesome riff and video! My top 2 guitarists are EVH and Billy Gibbons. I was 9 years old when Rio Grande Mud came out and I heard the Just Got Paid riff. My older brother was 17 and bought the album and when that riff hit, I was hooked at a young age! I knew I wanted to play guitar but I didn’t pick it up until 1978 when I was 15 and the first VH album came out. Eddie made me pick up the guitar. But The Reverend Willie G first got me hooked!

Robert Baker you’re the man! I’ve been in a huge rut for about a year now and you’re videos have been really encouraging. You’re relaxed voice and laid back teaching style really relieves the stress I feel when trying to progress with my playing. You’re so obviously passionate about the guitar and that is encouraging as well! Thanks for keeping me playing.

Personally,
ZZ-Tops best albums for me are their first through 1979’s Deguello and after that 2012’s La futura. Dequello is my all time favorite release, absolutely perfect album.🎶
