The chest is a lighter color because Goku usually wears a shirt and SHF is representing his tan lines. It calls attention to how he usually is not shirtless and it's business time and/or it's sexy time

The chest thing is so weird. With my copy, to the naked eye you couldn't tell the difference, but it shows plainly in photos, so I'm guessing it's just the way cameras capture light and how they penetrate certain materials? Regardless, this is easily top-tier Figuarts Dragon Ball, coming with anything and everything he should have for the price point. I also ended up doing the thing you mentioned, and added some light shading and colouring in the scratches sculpted in the body with real touch and fine point gundam markers. It came out decently well, and elevates the figure quite a bit in my eyes. Speaking as someone who's fairly meh on Frieza, this release instantly made me wanna go back and pick up the Final Form version, plus the 100% power coming up!

Also, great review, of course! Clear and concise, and with a positive energy that comes off as genuine, rather than a personality put on for the camera.
