QF6 & QF10 Rome - Melbourne via Perth. New route review! Qantas Premium Economy

This is a review of our Premium Economy Flight from Rome - Melbourne via Perth on Qantas Flight QF9 and QF10.

We also review the Premium Plaza Lounge at Rome's Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport.

It's a scheduled almost 23 hour flight. Yes it's a long way and the first leg is a very long flight.
QF6 if the Rome - Perth leg and QF10 is the Perth - Melbourne Leg and is the end of the Heathrow - Melbourne flight.

We had to wear face masks flying the entire Rome to Melbourne journey 😷 😱

Also we experienced a Duty Free Disaster!!!

- Arrive Perth 08:35 ~ 14 hrs 45 min flight time
- Leave Perth 13:10 ~ 4 hrs 35 min layover (Q10)
- Arrive Melbourne 18:40 ~ 3 hrs 30 min flight time

Back in the 90s when I lived in Rome, I remember this flight as a FCO- BKK-PER -MEL with a 747-300.

Strange seeing QF6 as a Rome-Australia route. I’ll always remember it as the Frankfurt-Singapore-Sydney routing from back in the day on the 747-400.

When i fly either domestic or international, i prefer a window seat as i don't like sitting in the middle., some airlines charge a fee for choosing seating but i'll pay if it mean's that i get what i want. Awesome helpful flight report / loving watching all your video's👍

No bid deal not getting lounge access. I usually fly business class but often bypass the lounge because they are frequently overcrowded. At many airports you can buy access so the so-called “exclusive: use for higher fare paying passengers is negated.

The duty free… wow. What is the deal with that anyway? Do you have to buy it always in Australia just because of security?

those waist airbags look very uncomfortable and "in the way". thank god it didnt... but i dont think they would help much if a plane should crash. the pasta meal sounded YUK ! but your brekky looked delish. not sure about just a chicken salad. id want more.. lol
