I have my dad to thank for getting me into jazz.
I’m 54 and he was 87 on Monday.
Went to see him on his birthday and played him this mix.
He has onset dementia and is forgetful but Tuesday afternoon he called me and asked if that jazz I played was on a record and if he could buy it.
I said I’ll try and find it knowing I’d have to say I couldn’t find it.
Saw him again today and played him this mix again.
87 and he loves it 😃.
Great to share this with the man that introduced me as a kid to great music.

I like watching her dance. She feels the music . It is what drives her to play good sets like this one.. really took me back to 2003 NYC in the village lounges and clubs back then. I hope Tinzo realizes she will have to eventually start playing new tracks. That's what really sets apart djs from people who just play music being able to play a set with new music that blows up the dance floor.
