The Rogers family says they are holding onto hope that the teen will come home safe. This, as father Seth Rogers says his son was molested in the past.

I have an angel of a little boy who is 6 years old. He’s completely nonverbal. He speaks zero words. It’s so so hard & a daily heartbreak for my husband & I. That being said… I wouldn’t change him for the world. He teaches me something new every day. My husband & I only ever wanted 1 child & we got our precious Westlyn. We get very little sleep, zero rest time, he’s constantly on the move. He’d escape if we didn’t have all of the special locks. I’m saying all of this to say… having a child with special needs is the most complicated job in the world & very rarely is there “peace” but you learn to adapt to this new “normal” it never has been easy with Westy, but he needs us & we need him.

This story touches my momma heart and I pray he’s found safe and returned to the biological father. I feel in my heart something is wrong with the mother & stepdad. Special needs kids aren’t easy & if you have even the most perfect life, they can be too much to handle for some. I’m praised daily by my clients that say “I don’t know how you guys do it” “how do you continue working and looking put together with no sleep” YOU KEEP GOING FOR YOUR KIDS. No matter what! It’s not for the weak. This young boy deserves the world. He’s 100% innocent and pure & it’s devastating to know something terrible has happened. I can’t imagine the pain and angst the father feels. ❤️‍🩹
