tips- push with your toes directly next to the board rather than your whole foot quite a bit from the board, you want to keep the majority of your weight on your right leg when pushing, just use a tiny bit of weight on your pushing foot, keep your heel off the ground and push with your toes. This improves style. Also, bend your knees more, it will look a bit dodgy in the earlier stages of skateboarding, but as your progress it will give you a much better style. Try to skate as frequent as possible, and never be unmotivated, slamming means progression. For the real ollie attempts, put the ball of your foot on the end of your tail, with your heel hanging off the board, rather than your whole foot on the tail. Make sure that when popping, you pop only your toes down, do NOT let your heel go down with your toes, this makes the ollie much better and easier. Remember to jump too, the ollie is a jump, so remember to jump. Jump straight up, not forwards or backwards. Also, keep your shoulders in line with your board, the most common problem when beginners learn ollies is their board turning, and it's because they turn their shoulders, leading them to a fs or bs 180, so keep them and your chest in line with your board. Bend down before you pop- alot of people forget to bend their knees. This will also make sure you have a less likely chance of falling, and makes you look like you know what you're doing. Jump and bend your knees in the air, this also helps get a higher ollie, no matter what stage you are at. Monsterwalks and frontside powerslides/reverts will give you alot of confidence on your board, and are easy to learn. Also, I know you like challenges, so in your next video, try and manual off a curb. Good luck :)

There is something about watching somebody learn to skateboard for the first time which is oddly satisfying. As a skater myself, all of what you are doing in automatic to me, I don't even need to consciously think about any of this in order to skate. It's fascinating to see the processes of people starting out, what is obvious to me is not obvious to a beginner. I absolutely adore watching people learn a sport (for lack of a better definition) which I am passionate about. Keep up the good work dude, no matter how good the skater, we all started where you are starting now. Good luck with the journey dude, you're literally in for a ride!

I started skating when I was really young and I don’t even remember how hard it was to learn the basics. Watching this really made me realize how starting from scratch is.
