Whales are Artiodactyl animals. Hoofed. They didn't evolve from wolves, which are within Carnivora. They evolved from a semi aquatic wolf like creature. A mammalian equivalent of a crocodile is how I like to think of it.

Wrong whales did not evolve from wolves ok they evolved from early four legged mammals that look like a wolf but it’s not a wolf it’s a pakicetus which evolve into Ambulocetus which then evolved into other species of so called prehistoric whales such as Dorudon and Basilosaurus and finally into present day whales but here’s my opinion I believe that whales did not really evolve from these four legged wolf like mammals that got adapted to live in water nope not all whales I believe however my theory is very accurate and true I believe that killer whales and river dolphins may have been the only cetaceans that evolved from wolf like mammals ok but not the baleen whales in general such as the blue whales or fin whales and sperm whales etc they as in both toothed and baleen whales and even dolphins and porpoises did not evolved from wolf like mammals ok only killer whales and false killer whales and melon headed whales and river dolphins they are the only species of cetaceans that evolved from wolf like mammals ok that’s my theory
