Had mine 15 months and 18, 000 miles. Still great fun to drive, no reliability issues, rear tyres have 4mm tread still, no service for 6k miles yet (apart from first 1k service) according to service indicator. Same spec but with dct.

Just discovered this channel. A guy's voice is so crucial to the enjoyment of the videos. His way of talking. This guy's got it. Some guys are irritating and you just can't watch but a bit at a time.

Brilliant car that needs to be seen in person to appreciate that aggressive stance.

I just bought a 2018 M2, similar specs to yours, stick shift, Long Beach Blue, and I think it has everything except the fancy exhaust (which I wouldn’t mind having). Had it a couple of weeks and I love it. I’m in SE Connecticut. I just had to go to the grocery store and chose to drive all the way to Stonington just because I love the drive.

Glenn, I really enjoyed your review. I have an exact twin to your M2 and have accumulated 16K miles. Bought it on European Delivery in May 2016, so after the break-in service, we had track days at the Nürburgring, Zandvoort, and Spa.
After 2 years of ownership, you should have discovered what I did in the first week: you can rev match yourself with heel-and-toe in ANY mode! There's a very slight delay built into the auto rev matching. Blip the throttle quickly and you'll beat the delay, so you can heel-and-toe any time. I discovered this while blipping by instinct on hairpins in the Alps, and it worked just like my earlier M cars. I'm sure BMW built this in on purpose. No switch needed like the Z06; rev matching is there when you want it and you can override when you want to, simply based on your throttle behavior.
Try it; just forget about the auto rev matching and it goes away. And so will one of your complaints.

Great review Glenn. I love the close up shots of the exhaust. There are two new products on the market that will clean up the exhaust, they are called soap and water. Otherwise, great looking car.

Still love this car. Got a M340i instead. I think the regular M2 has much better looks over the M2 competition. Best front end of any BMW

I daily drive an ‘18 Mustang GT (with performance package 1).... and I have been obsessed with the BMW M2 since its debut. They’re finally nearly my budget (paid $43k for the mustang).... so hopefully in the near future i will purchase an M2! Good review. The Long Beach blue is the best color hands down. I think I’d prefer the DCT though. I’m kinda over driving manuals :/

you are very well spoken - nice and chill opinions - manual is our way to go - but it's not for thought low milage, US spec, manual E36 M3 Coupes would never be 'collectible' well, they were

Hi Glen, great video. Thank you for posting it. Agree with you on all you said. E46 rocked. M2 manual, rear wheel drive=ultimate driving glory. BMW makes a lot of nice cars. I like that there aren’t a lot of a la cart options. Think the interior quality of current BMW models has some catching up to do compared to Audi and MB. I currently have 340 xi with M-pkg. Lease is up soon. Most likely going towards M2. I want the 6-speed manual...it’s an endangered species. It may or may not be ‘collectible’’ but for me the manual BMW that size is collectible to me. Looking at Golf R for my daily, year round driver...also in 6-spd manual. Peace! Carl

Black or white with manual. No dct for me. Idk what interior colors are available, but that burnt orange looking color in the E46 M3 has always been my favorite. That executive package sounds nice too...

It is my dream car, however up here in Canada most of them are all wheel drive automatics. Soon i will be able to afford a used lease return one.

Those exhaust tips look like dog shit. I know you can upgrade to carbon fiber tips but this car is in the $50, 000-60, 000+ range, it should come with some nice looking tips

M series ...should be manual only
I agree Glenn....a naturally aspirated 4 liter v8...would be a better rev box delete with catback exhaust....nice review

The fake sound can be turned off by recoding. I have done so on my m240i.
