Jungle! It deposited the seed in mother music which would eventually birth a beautiful and legendary baby. They named it Drum and bass and nobody ever looked back.
I used to have 'One Nation' tape decks as a teenager. They were bigger than a vhs tape and had 8 double sided tapes of live jungle sets inside with legends like DJ hype and MC riddla, Zinc, Andy C and mc skibadee. Class times

I love this so much. As a kid living in the States I thought Jungle was a sub genre of DnB, not the other way around. Glad to be getting my music history sorted out 😅
