You’re right, Naomi did this video diary where she talked about the training she had to do for this movie and I’m telling you she said she practiced it mainly with Alan and the two writers on the piano. They had her sing it to see if she could pull it off, they told her, she would do it live on set. She said she was so emotional because it was her first time singing it im front of everyone and she was nervous and overwhelmed with emotion. She wanted to get it right. It wasn’t until later did she record the studio version if it. Not many of these leads can admit to singing their songs without any help so I’m soooo impressed with Naomi and I LOVEEEE her voice.

She sang it live on set, I remember seeing a behind the scenes look, but of course the final version has the studio recording. Singing it live really allowed her to put her emotions into it for the visuals

For anyone who’s a fan of Naomi, she’s also got a dope music career. Love her work outside of the musicals she does. I was so happy when she got cast and they confirmed they’d be giving Jasmine a solo song. It would have been a waste of casting for her not to get to show off.

*_Naomi Scott NAILED this Song and made it HER OWN...._*

Naomi used her ENTIRE Musical Instrument; Diaphragm, Lungs, Throat, Vocal Cords, Mouth, Tongue, Lips, and Brain. All these parts are used to make music we call 'Singing'. By varying any one, the it changes the Sounds we make when singing and what we hear when we listen to someone else singing.

Naomi has really matured as a Singer, Actor, and Dancer since 2011 when she was in 'Lemonade Mouth' another great Disney Family Film. She matured physically and vocally. She has more confidence in her own singing abilities. Naomi has Real Talent and she is not afraid to use it.

The song 'Speechless' is a beautiful song with a beautiful message. Naomi 'delivered' this 'Story' in Song Format. The greatest singers treat a song like a good Novel. Both have a beginning, middle, and end. The 'climax' can come in any part of story. Naomi lets loose with awesome Crescendos half way through. Big hooks to drag listen back with huge choruses. It is very effective keeping listeners engaged.

This song may look easy, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Parts of song are very challenging with Full Throttle Fortes, long holds, and high notes most would struggle to hit. Naomi does it easily and is not out of breath after performing it. She has great breath control and lungs many singers would love to have.

When Naomi hits crescendo at 2 minute mark, you can see that she isn't Lip Syncing. As she goes Full Forte and raises pitch even higher, the veins in her neck are standing out. That only happens when she is actually exerting and wow does she ever exert there. Towards the end of it, even the veins in her forehead are standing out.

Singing that loud, that long, that high is physically demanding. Naomi uses her entire body to brace and plant, giving the those incredible vocals a firm foundation. She effectively uses her arms and hands to convey emotions. Even after that Naomi still in complete control of her vocals. That's how a seasoned professional does it. Naomi trained hard and it shows.

Naomi infused lots of emotions throughout the song. She is able to change not only pitch, but the 'color and depth'. Song moves through a wide range of Human emotions. Naomi used nuances in her voice to deliver these emotions so effectively. Naomi is able to transform listeners into participants. They become part of Naomi's Story Telling. She takes us to a higher place where Emotions are revealed.

We don't want to come back down. Please Naomi just a little longer. Don't end the song yet. We are in a better place where music has taken us. We all have this magical feeling. We want more. Just a little longer Naomi.

*_My only problem with Speechless performed by Naomi Scott is that it had to end._*

Speechless is one of the best songs in the Aladdin along with Arabian Nights (2019). You can hear the raw power in the vocals.

I love this song. I love how the first part it sounds like she is so overwhelmed she has tears stuck in her throat that will overflow I'd she is not careful, I love how when she sings it you can see a very pronounced vein in her neck, and I love how in the end she is breathing so hard from the effort which in story ties back to being so overwhelmed that she might cry and is breathing hard to get it under control so she can do what she needs which is double hard cause she will be using emotions to do so.

To act like she does and sing like she does at the same time, it's something else. Just look at her facial expressions throughout, she's an amazing actress as well as singer!

it makes so much sense that it is live! When I watch this i get goosebumps every second, but the studio version just felt a little different, a little less emotions. great nonetheless, but the original is just one of a kind

Naomi is one of my favorite singers and the fact that she sang that LIVE is unbelievable. She is amazing, it would be a dream to be able to sing like her! Right now, my voice is kind of a nightmare.

I noticed how she did it live in this scene because this is way more raw than the official soundtrack version.
Naomi Scott is great, I was surprised by how good she was in Smile 2 and it made me remember this song.

This song makes my cry, the emotion just resonates from the song, her conviction to not let them break her. So good!

They made her sing live only from the start to "well, now that story is ending". The rest is studio recorded (from " 'cause I..." to the end) and you can notice this especially in the soundtrack album because the quality of the sound is totally different. Just to let you know. Anyway the whole song is beautifully sung and she is amazing 👏🏼❤

Some people talked about how this song is too modern and doesn't fit with the rest of the soundtrack, but I love it and think it's so underrated. I still don't know how it wasn't nominated for original song at the Oscars. Can you imagine Naomi singing it live at the Oscars?

Also, many people have talked about how it was live, but only the first part early in the film was live, as well as the second part UP UNTIL she turns around and the guards disappear. That's when the recording comes in. But I think she was still singing the whole thing live on set (you can see her veins popping out).

The redemption u didnt know i needed, knowing it was live and you being a bit harsh, thinking it was a recorded version. Love this
