Just picked one up. Thanks for the paddle board example. I was looking for the most expensive and best rated cooler for my paddle board, and I found it. Looking forward to enjoying its performance for years to come, and, looking forward to peering down at every other “inferior” paddle board cooler as I do so. Thanks again.

How about me and you get out there together?

Most of my adventures are limited to day trips assuming I even have the luxury of time, money, energy, or even company.

Let’s talk about storage… this cooler is bigger then my apartment and cost 💲 to space ratio about as expensive.

After a couple of years in the Marine Corps and developing bad allergies with age, I can safely say, screw camping.

I moved out to Montana so I didn’t have to drive some place and camp there for a few days to enjoy the serenity of nature.

I enjoy day trips and taking the least amount of crap possible.

Besides I already pay way too much for my apartment to not stay there if it’s within a reasonable driving distance.

If I’m bringing a cooler anywhere, let’s be realistic, it’s to pack alcohol, maybe some snacks, maybe some meat to grill for a small number of people. On the off chance I catch some fish, keep them on ice until I get home.

The more people, the simpler the menu… hot dogs, brats, wings, or burgers.

All of which I expect will be consumed in a timely enough manner before Ice retention is even a concern.

So why did I spend $200 on something when I could have spent less and achieved the same result?

Simple. Im a dummy.

I told myself the dimensions work well in my tiny vehicle.

The tough construction allows it to double as a camp chair/place to set a cutting board. Because it’s taller it can store items like champagne bottles or wine bottles. That it was the lightest weight overbuilt cooler from an American 🇺🇸 company with a decent 5 year warranty and blah blah blah.

Realistically anyone who buys crap like this are just flexing on the poor’s because they can keep ice colder in environments without ice rather then developing real camping skills like being able to stomach hot whiskey and warm beer.
