Tips on removing and reinstalling alternator 05 escape

My son and I did it this way. Was a real pita but we did it. The other way removing the axle would have broke other stuff and didn’t really have tools or know how. Whoever decided was good idea to put alternator under the engine needs a good kick in the nards.

Whoever sees this, I did one on a 2006 I believe. For my friend, and I don’t have any of those weird studs or air cover thing. I had regular bolts going inside the block also. But I did end up taking the top motor mount loose so it gave me a little bit more clearance. Take me about three hours from start to finish
