Under Darwinian theory, all aspects of the biological world can be explained by their adaptive significance in the struggle for survival. But Michael Denton believes that much of the order of nature is non-adaptive, and that this should completely change the way we understand biology.

2 things need to be noted here. 1) When you take a very stupid and ignorant idea and express it with great intelligence, you can make that idea seem to be itself, very intelligent. Even if it is utter devoid of good, proper understanding of the given situation. And that is very much what we have here.

And 2) I want to mention one thing he said in particular. He said that you could not possibly understand why some things evolved the way they did, and so it would seem to suggest there was no good reason for it at all.
Not so. He uses the example of the lay out of most flowers. But in fact, the lay out and patterning of most flowers are there specifically to attract bees and other flying insects to come and collect pollen from the flower. In this way, the flowering organism can "spread it's seed" so to speak to countless other flowers and reproduction happens. In short, they are formed like that b/c it helps them make more baby flowers.
This man doesnt know that fact. Which is fine, I'm quite sure a lot of people dont know that fact... But that's exactly my point. Just b/c you dont necessarily understand what the purpose is does NOT mean there is no purpose. To suggest such a thing is foolish at best.
