We use a Thule rack for 3 bikes plus an extra module so it can fit 4 bikes. We've been traveling with 4 heavy Dutch adult size bikes for 2 years now on our Tesla X P100D with 22 inch. We are fully packed with camping stuff, an inflatable kayak and what not. It consumes about 350Wh/KM ( not miles) which is a lot. We get a range of about only 275 km. But that is ok with supercharging at 115kWh all over Europe. We love our setup

I enjoy your videos. I wish I could have a tow hitch on my EV for taking my bikes with me.

One note, the audio on this video was all over the place, sometimes very hard to hear and then other times loud.

4 mountain bikes on a model y, with a lower rack, range was cut in half. that was 2 adult bikes 2 kids bikes. kinda feel like your 15% reduction is an underestimate. like maybe you had prevailing winds or net downhill or something.

I’m part way in but wondering if you are required to show number plate and lights on the back of the rack? In the UK we are required to have a number plate/light bar.
