Business is brisk at Omega Survival Supply store in Dayton, Ohio. Owner Matt Jones said a basic survival kit should include water, first aid, a radio, and especially food.

I've kept extra food in my back closet for at least forty years. Well supplied today, and I left most of my groceries in the store yesterday for the unprepared.

I was at the grocery store and everyone was buying water, canned food, rice etc. With lineups through the whole store, and it felt amazing to just casually walk by everyone and stand in line with some ice cream and beer knowing I’m already prepared and everyone’s just there trying to get ready for an apocalypse. they probably thought I was a fool but in reality they’re all foolish

I was at the grocery store three months ago with a cart full of rice and beans and frozen meat. I told the lady behind the counter that I was 'stocking up for the end of the world because of the virus'. She looked at me and laughed and said, 'good luck with that!'

If more people did this regularly, we wouldn't have the panic and civil unrest to the degree you see it normally during disasters. There are countless things that can interrupt your perfect cushy little daily life quite quickly.

I told friends that they can come to my house since I'm prepped, but they have to camp out in my back yard for 45 days in quarantine before they can come in my house LOL

Ok first why is this under the don't waste your money portion of the show and second, " stocking up on military supplies" since when is having extra food, a water filter, and a gun and ammo stocking up on military supplies... I didn't see any tanks, rocket launchers or fighter jets around there. I guess he would say my semi auto AR15 (or AR14, as Joe Biden would call it, SMH) an assault weapon...

I've been stocking up on ammo and food for years. I'm not sure what they'll need that toilette paper for when they ain't got any food.

This really isn't a doomsday scenario. Totally wrong time to "prep." You might want a few months supply, but this is just insane. You don't need a bunker and a minigun.

Well done - great report - helpful citizens who use long life food supplies that are different to shops elsewhere - and can help with medical issues too if neighbours needed help - great reporting!

Man o man. I’m stuck on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You can only imagine what would or could happen if Matson stopped shipping lines to us. On island we only have roughly a months worth of supplies. So this video resonates well with me.
