Hey Lamajo! I know you created this video over 4 years ago and you may not even see this comment, but I had to stop it at about 2 min just to say this video is super helpful and I appreciate how you didn't waste unnecessary time explaining in detail. I just purchased a singing bowl recently and have been unable to get it sing the way I want it to for my crystals and your video here was very informational. I think I discovered that the striker that came with the bowl might in fact be too large for it and could be the reason why it isn't as effective for me, so I'll try getting another one after trying all of the other things you mentioned here. Thanks a million man!

Yesterday 6/28/22, my best friend bought me a 4 in. singing bowl for my birthday, which was last week. For the last 2 hpurs, I have been trying to get my bowl to sing (and couldn't). I was beginning to think it was not a real, but a decorative singing bowl.

I watched a few videos on how to make it sing. This video was the 4th video I watched (why your bowl is Not singing). I realized I was not holding my hand Completely Flat! Even though I hadn't been touching the bowl with my fingers while holding it in palm, my center of my palm was too cupped, not "flat" enough to enable a continuous tone.

In the video, when you started making your bowl sing (after demonstrating how flat to hold your hand), my bowl immedistrly started SINGING LOUDLY along with yours in Perfect Harmony!!! I wanted to shout in Happiness and call my friend and at that moment I noticed my singing bowl's tone started to lower. I then took a breath and concentrated on being thankful to this bowl for "connecting" with me. The tone came back Up and this bowl sung so Loudly!

I am both amazed and humbled. I will now call my friend and thank her once again for this awesome gift.

My singing bowl will sing using the wooden part but the sound would completely stop when I use the male part or won’t sing at all using the suede part. Have you ever heard of this ?

You know that last 'secret' way to get to know your singing bowl to help it sing, is so important. As I've added to my collection of bowls I've realised this more and more. If I've even been away from home and left mine for a few days or more, they are 'cold' towards me when I resume playing. (Sometimes mine travel with me, heavy as they are, so we can continue our relationship!). And each bowl has its own unique personality and character. Learn about it. 'Converse' by playing it often, and really listen to what it tells you. It will talk to you, and when it's happy it will sing.... and 🙏
