I'm from Chicago. Hammock is my favorite artist. I had no idea this video existed until today...needless to say I'm quite happy I found it...

The concept behind the video is amazing. Apart from the story of the collapsed building, the shots of the people in the streets at 0:35 and 1:35 really resonate with me. There's a certain loneliness about that area of the city (Fulton Market district), especially in winter...it makes me wonder if the individuals in the video feel it too.

As for the song itself? The piano at 1:53 brings me to tears.

Seeing streets I've walked many times featured in this video is so special. As if Hammock couldn't get any more personal to me. This is a masterpiece.

that has perspectively changed my perception on music. A example is that I used one of their song for a project in college and the lecturer upon hearing it thought it was irritating and requested if I could change it to something else that is "Jazzy". Lastly I'll do as you say and enjoy listening to hammock and other artist similar to them, without an opinion or comment because this world needs people like you to be the Alpha and Omega of what is said...by the way Thank You
