As continued from my previous comment about the Air Bud series, this film, unlike the first one, underperformed at the box office when it released in ‘98. And get this: around the time this came out, “Saving Private Ryan” was still making good money! (It was also the #1 Box Office Feature by that point, in its 4th week. “Blade” would take that spot a week later. Frankly, both Air Bud & Golden Receiver failed to reach the #1 spot.) So, overall, the competition for this film was one of the main reasons Disney ditched theatrical releases for the Air Bud franchise and made them exclusively DTV titles.

As if the soldiers of Saving Private Ryan puts Buddy the Dog to sleep in other words Air Bud: Golden Receiver suffered disappointing underperformed while Saving Private Ryan earned the #1 spot in the box office and earned very good money just before Blade debuts back in 1998. I know both movies are good in my opinion but still *sigh*

I always wish Air Bud Golden Receiver could be about a girls tackle football team and how da slogan would say, "It's not whether you win or lose, it's about how long you can hold in your pee." after all da excitement and adrenaline of women and girls playing tackle football can make them suffer incidental pee gasms.
