Noah Ohlsen had never finished first in a CrossFit Games event until he faced benchmark workout Mary in 2019.

Ohlsen completed 115 handstand push-ups, 230 singe-leg squats, and 332 pull-ups in 20 minutes, for a total of 677 reps and his first career event win.

“This moment right here was so special. It’s one of those moments where everything was just perfect. It was a packed Coliseum, thousands of people, really, really high energy, in the moment was doing everything that I could to really soak that all in. I wanted that to be a powerful, positive memory that I could look back on for the rest of my life.”

The CrossFit Games are the ultimate proving grounds for the Fittest Man and Fittest Woman on Earth™ and are world-renowned as the definitive test of fitness. Every year since 2007, fans from around the world have attended the multi-day sporting event, streamed the competition online, or watched on ESPN, CBS, or a wide range of international broadcasts. The international field of play has included athletes from more than 120 countries. The CrossFit Games starts in the qualifying round with 300,000+ athletes competing around the world. Throughout the season the field is whittled down to just 560 athletes.

Transition time difference between the two is massive.

Olsen powered ahead because of it.

If you were in a competition where butterfly pull ups were allowed, and you knew all your competitors would be doing them to save time, please don’t act like you wouldn’t do them too lmao

This is why most people who are serious about S&C think crossfit is a joke. Fish out of water "pullups" and even complete nonsense kipping handstand pushups.

Even the hand stand push ups make no sense. Kicking the legs up makes them 80% easier. also pushing the head on the ground helps alot.

I'm still waiting for the first pullup.😂

It is becoming boring to read that comment of "not a single pull up was performed" in every pull up crossfit video, I wish that when others saw the first coment criticizing they could just give it a like becoming the top commentary every time and move on to less obvious thinkings

Everyone talking about the pull ups is so annoying. The body control that you have to have to do it correctly and efficiently is difficult. All of these guys can do strict pull ups. These are kipping pull ups and it’s just a different type of workout that’s exhausting. Quit acting like you could do what Noah did here. You can’t.
