How to use Jump Ahead with YouTube Premium

Jump Ahead is a YouTube Premium feature that lets you get to the content that matters the most to you, faster. To use Jump Ahead, double tap on the right side of the screen if you’re on a mobile device, or press the right arrow or L on your keyboard if you’re on the web.

Jump Ahead is only available to YouTube Premium users and may not appear on all YouTube videos. This feature is currently available on content in English, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish. This feature is not available on Shorts, premieres, live streams, or licensed content like music, movies, and shows.

I used this feature to skip this entire video, its great.

Know what else would be great? Not removing features that people actually enjoy.
Not making the mini player ugly and blocking half the screen.
Not disabling the 'Not Interested' button on videos you try to push on me.

This feature is actually super helpful. It doesn't work for all videos with sponsors, but it does work majority of the time. Some of these YouTube sponsors be way too long that I would be double tapping and it's still not over. In my experience jump ahead skips to about the last 1-2 seconds of the promo.

This feature is really nice cause I got premium to skip ads and the jump ahead skips a lot of the sponsered ads on videos

Have been using this for a very long time and absolutely love it! This is excellent and very useful feature. Thanks for taking away the frustration of having to watch or fast forward through mid video when a commercial or YouTuber spouting a commercial…when you pay a monthly subscription. Or by being able to just jump through chapters that don’t appeal to me on the video I’m watching. Really hope this feature never goes away. Thanks
